Definition of RtI/MTSS

NC Responsiveness to Instruction (NCRtI) is a multi-tiered framework which promotes school improvement through engaging, high quality instruction.

NCRtI employs a team approach to guide educational practices, using a prob- lem-solving model based on data, to address student needs and maximize growth for all.


Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) is defined as a whole-school, data- driven, prevention-based framework for improving learning/behavior outcomes for EVERY student through a layered continuum of evidence-based practices and systems.
