The Newton-Conover City Board of Education is seeking an outstanding educational leader to serve as its next Superintendent. We invite applications from student-focused leaders who are committed to excellence and community engagement. Prior experience in school administration and a doctoral degree in education are preferred, but not required. The individual chosen will be required to live in Catawba County.

Newton-Conover City Schools is one of three school systems located within Catawba County, North Carolina. The Newton-Conover City Schools are governed by an elected, six-member board.   • Understand and embrace the values, traditions, and aspirations of the Newton-Conover community

  • Market the school district to increase market share

  • Advocate for the unique needs of one of the most diverse student populations in the state of North Carolina
