At the December 6, 2021 Board Meeting, the school board approved Newton-Conover City Schools to join the ABC Collaborative. The ABC Collaborative is a research-based partnership with Duke University. This partnership will allow our school system to implement a Test and Stay Program for our students and staff who are found to have been exposed to COVID-19 by definition while at school. This program will be implemented beginning on December 10, 2021. School nurses and/or nurse assistants will be resources for parents who want more information regarding this program. You may also review the below basic summary document for more information. This process will only take place with parent/guardian permission as exposures occur at school.
