Newton-Conover City Schools has a proud tradition of providing quality educational services tailored to the specific learning and emotional needs of our diverse student population.
At the 1-24-22 Board of Education Meeting, the Board approved an approved calendar for the 2022-23 school year (22-23 School Calendar).
Calendar features for 2022-2023 include:
164 days of instruction (and/or greater than 1025 hours of instruction)
The student start date had to be on the Monday closest to August 26 which is August 29, 2022
Up to 5 remote learning days may be used in the event of inclement weather
With these considerations, our board adopted the above linked calendar. N-CCS works to meet the requirements of the 1,025 hours which makes our school calendar conducive to high school first semester exams before Christmas Break, and the ending of the school year by the end of May 2023.
