At its May 16, 2022 Board Meeting, the Newton-Conover City School Board of Education approved Angelo Palozzi as the new Director of Career and Technical Education.
Mr. Palozzi is a graduate of Gannon University with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and a Master Degree from Northcentral University in Educational Leadership. He has been serving in an interim capacity since Karen Boyles left the position in December of 2021. He has been with Newton-Conover City Schools for 17 years as a teacher, coach, career development coordinator, instructional management coordinator, special populations coordinator, and soccer coach, leading several Newton-Conover High School teams to state championships. Mr. Palozzi will retain his instructional management coordinator and special populations coordinator duties and also become Newton-Conover City Schools Director of Career and Technical Education.
“I am honored and excited for this opportunity to keep building our CTE program,” Mr. Palozzi stated. “We have a great group of teachers who are preparing students, and my being able to support them will help our students now and after they graduate from Newton-Conover City Schools.”
Mr. Palozzi is married to Katrina Palozzi, school counselor at Newton-Conover Middle School and is a father to Gianluca (age 6) and Alessia (age 3). He and his family live in Conover, North Carolina.
Angelo Palozzi will assume his role as CTE director July 1, 2022.
