Newton-Conover City Schools would like to congratulate the 2024 Graduates of Conover School. Congratulations! Thank you Dr. Betsy Rosenbalm and Conover Mayor Kyle Hayman for helping us recognize the accomplishments of our Conover Graduates.
Newton-Conover City Schools is excited to announce the continuation of CEP for the 24-25 school year! Based on the districts' increase in percentage of students that receive services through the state, NCCS Board of Education voted to also utilize CEP at NC Middle school!
This program will provide meals at no cost for students at Shuford , North Newton, South Newton, Conover School and NC Middle and requires approval on a year to year basis, and is not guaranteed each year. It is important that households continue to complete meal applications to ensure the district receives the maximum amount of necessary funding for Title I and school grants from the state. At the N-CCS May 20, 2024 Board Meeting, Dr. Stewart Hobbs presented an award to Superintendent Dr. Aron Gabriel for being named the Northwest Regional Supintendent of the Year! Congrats Dr. Gabriel!
May 20, 2024, the Newton-Conover Board of Education recognized the Newton-Conover High School Men's Golf Team for their Conference Regular Season Status. Congrats to the N-CHS Men's Golf team!
At the May 20, 2024 the N-CCS Board of Education recognized the Newton-Conover High School for its CVAC Regular Season Champion Status. Congrats to Coach Sigmon and the N-CHS JV Baseball Team!

Discovery High School had a blast at its annual Field Day. Students Judah Detweiler, Kobe Byrd, Laney Russell,, and Daniel Galloway also conducted a Bake and Drink Sale along with a Faculty and Staff Pie -in-the-Face Event in order to raise funds for Theo Elliott son of Alden Elliott.
