A message from N-CCS School Board Chair, Tim Hayes, in recognition of principals month.
"I am super proud of all of our administrators and building leaders. Each one brings a unique perspective to their assigned position. Students are at the center of every decision made by each one person. They all have a servant heart and attitude which makes them a perfect fit for Newton-Conover City Schools. I along with the entire board are happy that they call Newton-Conover home."

N-CCS would like to send a shout-out to Bella Moretz a 6th grader at Newton Conover Middle School. Bella recently did a backpacking trip with one of her two scout troops. Bella hiked the Grayson Highlands State Park/National Forrest /Appalachian Trail for a total of 14 miles! She met some wild ponies and experienced hard work, failures, and ultimately success. Not only was she carrying a 35-pound pack, but she also did it in spite of losing half her tent, almost all of her items being soaking wet from her tent leaking the first night, overnight lows in the 20s, and wind gusts of 40mph. Way to go, Bella, we are proud of you!
