Level Up! With School Lunch! With the rising costs of groceries – let us provide your
child(ren) with a well-balanced lunch at a low cost!
The National School Lunch Program began in 1946, originally created to provide
nutritious meals to children from low-income families who might not otherwise have
access to a daily meal.
NSLP ensures the health & well-being of all public school students, boosts academic
performance by giving students the fuel they need to succeed, and closes the
opportunity gap for children across the country.
Today, the National School Lunch Program serves nearly 30 million children every
school day. Not only does it reduce childhood hunger, but also supports American
Agriculture!
Please join us in celebrating this wonderful program!

Mr. Penley is the prototype of a high school principal. He loves everything about high schools: teaching & learning, performing arts, athletic contests, prom, clubs, pep rallies, etc…..and his students and staff know that he loves high school. More than that, his students and staff know that he loves them. He has led N-CHS to multiple years of meeting or exceeding growth and to the first letter grade of B in the history of Newton-Conover High School. Mr. Penley has been recognized previously as Principal of the Year for our school system. Mr. Penley and N-CHS are synonymous with each other.

A dash provides a perfect underline to write words or phrases to indicate meaning or personal connection to the words being connected by the dash. In that dash, our staff find their connection to Newton-Conover City Schools. Dr. Gabriel, superintendent of N-CCS DASH is…
"When I came to N-CCS, I came for a job opportunity. Years later, I realize that I have found so much more. I have found colleagues that I will hold dear for the rest of my life, a caring school community that treats me as a unique individual and not just a name/number/statistic, a place to put down roots and live, and a place my two sons will call the place where they grew up. Our next school to highlight as we get to know our schools in N-CCS is Conover School. They are a public separate school for students with disabilities. Conover School is all about working together for the betterment of their students. They are a tight-knit family that focuses on engagement, comradery, and connecting with the community. #whatdoesyourdashmean
