is from Maiden. "My favorite thing about N-CCS is that we are collectively a family made up of students, their families, and staff regardless of the campus. We learn and succeed together." N-CCS is also fortunate to have excellent staff members who work at the district level. Colleen Smith is our Child Nutrition Administrative Assistant. She is originally from Silver Creek, New York. "My favorite thing about N-CCS is the shared ideal to do and be our best for the students and community." Her favorite spare-time activities are spending time with family, traveling and hiking. These folks work behind the scenes to make sure that schools have the support they need to support their students. We want to recognize today Director of Accountability and Technology Ciindy Geddes. Ms. Geddes is originally from Berkeley Heights, New Jersey. "I love the family feel of our district and the ability to try new and innovative ideas." Her mother, who was an outstanding elementary teacher motivated her to become an educator. If she were not working at an educator, she would be traveling. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, and cheering for her children at sporting events. Thank You Cindy Geddes for your work with N-CCS!

N-CCS's Chief Academic Officer, Tammy Brown, and Director of Exceptional Children, Dr. Keisha Pritchard attended the Appalachian State University Job Fair Today to recruit Mountaineers as N-CCS Teachers.

We want to recognize today, Instructional Technology Facilitator/MTSS Facilitator Angie Sigmon. Ms. Sigmon says her favorite thing about N-CCS is the staff. " I love the family feel of not only the educators in our district, but also the community." In her spare time Ms. Sigmon enjoys spending time with family who keep her busy with sporting events. She also enjoys reading and shopping with her girls. Thank you Ms. Angie Sigmon for your work with our district.

Ms. Sigmon says her "favorite thing about N-CCS is the staff. I feel like I'm part of a big family that seems to care about one another." Her favorite hobbies are teaching Zumba classes, spending time with family and taking her dogs to the park. Thank you Ms. Sigmon for your work with our district.

Newton-Conover City Schools celebrated its Bus Drivers this morning at the Annual Bus Driver Appreciation Breakfast! Thanks to Our Bus Drivers for seeing that our students get to school and home each day!

Let’s celebrate National Bus Driver Appreciation Week! Those of us who have attended public schools and rode the bus to school each morning, know that the first public school employee we met and interacted with each morning was a bus driver. Bus drivers are vital in ensuring that our students arrive safely and are returned home safely each day. It is impossible to recognize the work they do each day. While driving they also watch after the students they transport. The work they do for Newton-Conover City Schools is invaluable. Our school district wishes to recognize and celebrate their roles and work during School Bus Driver Appreciation Week 2022, February 14 through February 18, 2022.

N-CCS recognizes Maggie Bartlett for National School Counselor Day 2022. Ms. Bartlett is the counselor at Shuford Elementary School. She is in her 3rd year there. She is an advocate for students' well-being daily and supports all students and staff.

N-CCS would like to thank and recognize Linsey Robertson, school counselor at South Newton Elementary. Ms. Robertson has been with our district just over 6 years, Thank you for your work with the students and staff at South Newton.

N-CCS recognizes and thanks North Newton Elementary School counselor, Robyn Honer. Ms. Honer is a graduate of Appalachian State University and the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill.
