Newton-Conover City Schools thanks First United Methodist Church providing Angel gifts for 16 Newton-Conover students.This was funded by a food tent fundraiser during Reunion Weekend Crusin in August and church youth Christmas shop for our students. Thank you!

Newton-Conover City Schools also thanks our individual donors, 19 students received stockings filled with necessities and retail gift cards.


Newton-Conover City Schools thanks its community partners United Way and Salvation Army Christmas Bureau. Because of them, 37 high school students received retail gift cards, 3 teen mothers received infant gift bags, and 2 high school students received bikes with helmets.

North Newton Elementary School and Principal Leah Hayes was recognized by the N-CCS Board of Ed for meeting growth and was also in the top 50% in growth for this past school year. Congrats!
Newton-Conover Middle School and Principal Billy Cannon was recognized for meeting growth in state assessments and for being recognized by US News and World Report as being in the top 40% of schools in NC. Congrats!
Discovery High School and Principal Shane Whitener was recognized for having a 100% Graduation Rate. Also, note that Discovery was also named 8th best high school in NC by US News and World Report this year. Congrats!
Conover School Principal and Conover School was also recognized for a successful 34th Annual Bikers Run and for successfully meeting Developmental Day Standards. Congrats!
Presenting the Colors at the N-CCS Board of Ed meeting last night 12-16-24 were: Cadet Seaman Luna; Cadet Ensign Unverferth; Cadet Seaman Campbell; and Cadet Petty Officer Third Class Goyco.
Our multilingual team met on Friday to celebrate the holiday for lunch and then we completed ACCESS training and focused on professional development with our ELD standards. N-CCS has an amazing ML team!!
