At Newton-Conover High School ,Ms. Dettman's math classes explored different seat apportionment methods (methods by which seats are assigned in the US House of Representatives) and engaged in the use of a random number generator to create populations. They applied each of these apportionment methods to their data, calculated the results and compared methods to see which made the most mathematical sense. #SMALLSYSTEMBIGIMPACT

On September 17, 2025, Newton-Conover City Schools celebrated the ratification of the United States Constitution when George Washington and 38 delegates signed our founding document.
