The Catawba County College Fair will be held at Hickory Metro Center next Thursday, Sept. 21st from 6 p.m. till 8 p.m. This will be an excellent time for students to talk to colleges from all across the state as well as colleges from Tennessee and South Carolina. Students need to go to Strivefair.com and register prior to attending the fair! You can also use the QR code in the photo below.

Let’s get to know our schools in N-CCS and what makes them great! First up is South Newton Elementary. South Newton Elementary is all about family. They are a PBIS school that prides itself in rewarding students for their positive behavior. South Newton strives to maintain a well-knit family community. Staff work hard to build strong relationships with their students to help them grow both academically and socially.

Congratulations to Newton-Conover High School junior quarterback Logan Adair on being voted the winner of the Week #3 WNNC Coca-Cola Golden Helmet Award. Logan threw for 194 yards and 6 touchdowns and caught a 2-point conversion in the Red Devils' win over East Rutherford last Friday night! #whatdoesyourdashmean

Today was Cupcake Day at Discovery High School in honor of former guidance counselor Maggie Daniels. Cupcake Day is a day to celebrate life and living life to the fullest. This is the 9th year celebrating with 1,230 cupcakes donated by the student body.
