The N-CCS Central Office team and families participated in the weekly community feeding this past Sunday evening at First Presbyterian Church in Newton. Approximately 130 community members were fed. Even when the school year is over, N-CCS continues to care and to serve.

Red Blazer awards are given to those individuals in the Newton-Conover community who have made significant contributions of their time and resources to the district.

The N-CCS Board of Ed recognized the 2024-25 NCHS individual Catawba Valley Athletic Conference and Regional Track Champions at its May 19, 2025 Board Meeting.
The N-CCS Board of Education recognized the NCMS Girls Soccer Team for being the 2024-25 Catawba Valley Middle School Athletic Conference Champions.
The N-CCS Board of Ed also presented memorial plaques to the family of Alden Elliott. A memorial for US Marshal Elliott is to be constructed in the baseball field outfield to include a US Flag. Alden Elliott was an NCHS Alumnus and baseball player. He was killed in the line of duty in 2024.
On May 19, 2025, the N-CCS Board of Education also recognized the NCHS 2024-25 Mens Tennis Team Champions.
On May 19, 2025 the N-CCS Board of Education recognized the NCHS JV Baseball Team as the 2024-25 Catawba Valley Athletic Conference Champions.
